Thomasville, GA (WALB) - In the GHSA boys soccer playoffs Thomasville's first trip to the semifinals in school history didn't end up the way Bulldog fans wer hoping it would.

Marco Mata gave Thomasville a quick 1-0 lead over Greater Atlanta Christian.

The Spartans responded with 2 unanwsered goals by Aldyn Royes en route to a 2-1 victory to advance to the state championship game.

First year Thomasville head coach Ernest Bass had nothing but praise for his team's effort.

"I told them I was proud of every single one of them. They've worked hard, they've come a long way and it's definitely something to build on" said Bass.

Thomasville will return every player next year with the exception of senior Joseph Souders.
