Albany Museum Offers Kids Programs

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - If your financial situation is making you think about cutting back on those vacation plans, you're not alone.

According to a Harris Interactive survey, about 40% of people surveyed said that they were planning to cut back on their travel plans due to their personal financial situation.

For families that are staying home, summer programs like the one offered at the Albany Museum of Art might be an way to keep the boredom at bay. For the third year, they are offering art classes for the kids.

"Every week in June, we'll be having a camp for the younger kids. And then for the older kids; fourth, fifth and sixth grade, we'll be doing a camp in July, said Nick Nelson, the Interim Director of the Albany Museum of Art.

Nelson says that the museum is also offering free admission for all of its visitors this Summer.
