Valwood, SCA's Pearce have big days at GISA golf

VIDALIA, GA (WALB) - Valwood comes within in a shot of winning the GISA AA state golf tournament.

Frederica wins a second consecutive state title with a score 319 and the Valiants posted a four-player score of 320.

The Valiants second place finish is the best in school history.

Bradley Bynum and David Hobby, both sophomores, earned all-state honors.

So did Sherwood Christian's Kelly Pearce.

Pearce wins a 73 to share the medalist honors with Griffin Christian's Carson Willis with a 73.

Kelly Pearce was also the girls low medalist.
