ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Parents looking to save money can breath a sigh of relief this year. The Back to School tax free holiday will be back this year.

Shoppers will be able to buy school supplies, clothes, shoes and computers without paying any state tax.

Governor Sonny Perdue signed the legislation that will remove the state tax on those items from Thursday July 30th until Sunday August 2nd.

This bill will also remove sales tax from some water and energy efficient appliances during the first four days of October.
