VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A Lanier County Sheriff's deputy has been arrested for family violence.

Twenty-five year old Travis Kiser was taken into custody yesterday and charged with criminal trespassing and family violence.

Valdosta Police arrived at the Woodstone Apartments after receiving a 911 call about a domestic dispute.

Police say during an argument Kiser blocked his girlfriend's vehicle with his own car and then broke the side mirror off of her vehicle.

Kiser served as a Valdosta Police Officer for four years and is currently serving as a Sheriff's deputy in Lanier County.
