Valdosta's Rowe staying close to home

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta State baseball coach Greg Guilliams didn't have look far to find a talented pitcher for his Blazers.

Valdosta High ace Kyle Rowe signed to play baseball for Valdosta State.

Rowe was an all-region performer last year and has won 22 games and struck out 199 batters in three seasons with Bart Shuman's Wildcat baseball program.

Valdosta High made it to the state semifinals last year and opens the state playoffs at Greenbrier High on Friday.
