Monroe girls sprint to region track title

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Monroe girls win the region 1-AAA track title.

Lady Tornadoes score 208.5 points to easily beat second place Westover.

LaKeisha Jackson with a big day winning the long jump, 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles and she ran on both relay teams that also won region titles.

Mimi Land won the high jump, triple jump and was also on both relay teams for the Lady Tornadoes.

The GHSA girls state track meet is May 14-16 at Hugh Mills Stadium.
