ALBANY, GA (WALB) - European History from about 476 to 1450 A.D. came to life for sixth grade students at Deerfield-Windsor.

The lords and ladies of the sixth grade were transported back in time to the medieval period.

They studied that time in history this quarter and participated in a medieval feast. A few like Brett Rigsby challenged King Arthur, and found out he's pretty tough.

"It would be fun to swing a sword," said Lord Brett.

"We gave them food today they could eat with their hands, that's typical of that time period, they had chicken, you know chicken would have been available then, potatoes, and fruits," said Lady Sheilia.

This was the tenth year for the school event.
