ALBANY, GA (WALB) - High School Track Monroe's Chris Lovett holds one of the fastest 110 meter hurdle times in school history.
Lovett will be taking that speed to the college ranks. The 3 time region champion signed a scholarship with South Carolina State Tuesday morning. Lovett is undefeated in the 110 meter hurdles and says signing a college scholarship is a huge load off his shoulders.
"It's like a sigh of relief too because I've been thinking about it my whole life and I actually got there and signed the paper so now it's official. I think I'll have a good time there it will be real fun. I talked to the coach, he gave me a lot of good information" said Lovett.
Chris is also a star student at Monroe and received a dual scholarship for academics and athletics at South Carolina State.
