ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Valwood rallies from 2-0 deficit to beat Sherwood Christian 5-4 on Monday afternoon.
The game was supposed to have been played Friday but was postponed due to the lack of umpires.
The game started at 1:30 p.m. Monday due to the weather and SCA was leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth.when the rains forced a long rain delay.
Valwood took advantage when the skies cleared and scored five runs to win.
The victory clinches third place in the GISA 3-AA for the Valiants and drops the Eagles to fourth.
In AAA, Deerfield-Windsor beats Calvary Christian 14-0.
The Knights host Mount de Sales in the first round of the GISA playoffs.
