ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You'll soon be able to see some familiar faces and sites on the big screen.

Albany native Beth Joiner directed a movie called "Voices". It was filmed primarily in Albany and includes cast members from First United Methodist Church, The Pointe and Porterfield Methodist Church.

It's a Christian film that focuses on making good decisions.

"I think it provides an alternative to some of today's movies. Some of today's movies are not for teenagers and this is a family film. It's a great opportunity for families to come together, bring friends and maybe sit down together afterwards and discuss some of the issues in the film" said Tina Marbury.

The movie opens Friday and runs through May 22nd at Wynnsong Theater in Albany. Proceeds will benefit the land and building fund for The Pointe, a United Methodist congregation that meets in Lee County.
