
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Coming out of the winner's bracket in the SIAC tournament the Albany State Rams were one win away from winning the team's first conference championship in three years.
That win will have to come on Sunday.
The Golden Rams lost 12-10 to Stillman College Saturday at Paul Eames Park.
Albany State led 10-5 in the 8th inning before allowing 7 runs in the inning.
Albany State head coach Edward Taylor expects his team to be ready to play when the two schools meet again Sunday.
"A lot of enthusiasm. Especially from the seniors the guys that are done, it will be there last season. A lot of enthusiasm and just ready to get back on the field and do what they're supposed to do" said Taylor.
Albany State will play Stillman at 11:00 Sunday with the winner claiming the SIAC championship.
