ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor's Kelly Conway one win away from a third straight three win performance at the GISA girls state track meet.

Conway won the AAA girls 800 meter run on Friday morning for a third straight year.

Her time missed the state record by two-tenths of a second.

Conway took the lead halfway through the first lap and then cruised for a very easy victory.

She won the 1600 meter race on Thursday and is going for her first ever title in the 400 meter dash on Saturday.

Kelly Conway said. "I wanted to go out and run the first lap in under 70 seconds and then see what I can do from there. It turned out to work for me."

The Lady Knights are in second place at 40.5 points and trail Trinity Christian who had 59 points going into Saturday's final round.
