SCA's Cannady wins second title in high jump

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Sherwood Christian's Stephen Cannady was not able to defend his title in AAA because the Eagles are in AA this year.

The drop in classification found Cannady facing a challenged from Bulloch's Chan Newton.

Newton was actually seeded higher than Cannady.

It didn't bother Cannady who cleared 6'1"' to win the AA state title.

Stephen Cannady said. "it helps alot . There is always competition can help you improve and be your best."

After securing victory, Stephen was unable to clear 6'6" that would have set a new AA state record.
