Police are searching for a man who fired shots into two cars in the El Rancho parking lot on Dawson Rd.
By Karen Cohilas - bio | email ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Flood victims in Dougherty County now have a place where they can file for assistance. The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opened at Thornton Gym in Albany at noon Friday.
Only a handful of people were there as the center opened, but more are expected. It's open 8 AM to 7 PM every day other than Sunday until further notice.
Jody Correro with FEMA said, "We help them rebuild to the point they were prior too the damage, we're here to support that effort as strongly as we can in partnership with the state of Georgia."
You don't have to visit the center to apply for state and federal assistance.
