ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An electrical fire burned almost the entire roof off a house at 202 Camellia Road in East Albany in the wee hours of Friday morning.

A paper delivery man saw the fire just before four o'clock in the morning and called for help.

Homeowner Billy Kelly was out of town, and no one was hurt, but a major renovation will be necessary before he can move back in.

"It's an electrical fire, an accidental fire it burned the roof off of almost the entire structure, it started in the attic," Said  Inv. Sam Harris of the Albany Fire Department.

Firefighters worked to save as much of the owner's belongings as they could by covering them with tarps.  The entire roof will need to be replaced.
