ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Tallahassee Assembly has signed contracts to hold its convention at the Albany Civic Center in October.
Jaye Lomax, manager of the Sleep Inn, says the groups has requested between 300 and 350 rooms for two nights.
She says the convention will provide a big boost to Albany's economy.
The Southwest Georgia Jehovah's Witness Assembly made news when they decided to move their annual convention from Albany to Tifton.
They cited a lack of cooperation by city leaders.
Lomax credits the booking of the Tallahassee assembly to improved city cooperation.
