Albany - You can have a drink with your dinner at Albany restaurants starting this Sunday. Tuesday night, Albany commissioners approved the sale of alcohol on Sundays, but not unanimously.
Voters approved the Sunday sales referendum on election day. Commissioners Jon Howard and David Williams voted against the ordinance that officially allows the alcohol sales. Restaurants and hotels can start selling alcohol by the drink December 1st. 53% of voters said yes to Sunday alcohol sales on November 5th.
