ALBANY - Students at Magnolia Elementary in Albany are helping out those in need this Thanksgiving. They collected 13 boxes of canned food and other non perishable items. The school's Dance Team headed up the food drive, and it was successful because many of the kids took a very active role.
"We were telling the children to bring some canned food for the homeless," Lakeisha Whitfield said.
Some of the food collected will go to students in need at the school. The rest will go to the Salvation Army.
