    The rate increased because of seasonal factors, such as the summer job loss among non-contract school workers and temporary layoffs, primarily in manufacturing. There were 60,500 jobs in Albany in June, down by 300, or 0.5 percent, from 60,800 in May. Most of the loss came in state government and the service-related industries.More >>

Nashville - Chaparral Boats scored the highest ratings on J.D. Power and Associate's customer service study. The study measures customers' feedback on a boat's exterior, features and controls, ride and handling, comfort and convenience.

Tuesday, Chaparral celebrated the award with a groundbreaking ceremony for their new corporate offices and shipping plant

"We like to tell our customers how good we are at what we do, and when survey results prove that you're customers are satisfied and believing you, that's a great thing," said Jim Lane, Chaparral President.

Chaparral is the largest employer in Berrien County, with over 800 employees.
