ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Darton College got some needed confidence before their GJCAA series this weekend with a 4-3 win over Gulf Coast Community College on Monday.
Darton will close out the regular season Tuesday at 6:00pm against CVCC.
It is sophomore night for the Cavalier baseball team.
Darton plays at Middle Georgia in a best two of three series that starts at 7:00pm Friday in Cochran.
In Americus, Georgia Southwestern ends their season with 10-0 win over Albany State in seven innings.
The Rams will play Lane at 10:00am Thursday in the first round of the SIAC baseball tournament.
The Darton College softball team beat ABAC 9-0 to make up a rain out.
Stephanie Martin tosses a two-hitter.
The win moves the Lady Cavs into a tie with Georgia Perimeter for first place in the region.
Darton will play at Young Harris in a doubleheader Tuesday.
Valdosta State improved to 51-6 after a doubleheader sweep of Albany State.
The Lady Blazers win 9-1 and 5-0 over the Lady Rams.
VSU is the number one seed at the GSC softball tournament.
The loss ends the Lady Rams season at 36-30.
