New partner, another GISA state title

TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor's Haley Fulford wins a third straight GISA state title in doubles.

Only this year, Fulford won with a new partner.

With Taylor Hawke graduated, Fulford teamed with Sally Schatz in the finals today over at ABAC's Red Hill Tennis Center.

Haley Fulford and Sally Schatz defeated Mary Reynolds and Madeline Sims from Augusta Prep 6-1, 6-3 in the championship match.

Tiftarea's Kelli Jordan and Nicole Burke win the state title in AA.

Class A, Westwood's Sydnee Smith wins the girls singles state championship.

Crisp Academy's Ashley Purvis and Laura Carter finish state runner-up in girls doubles.

Terrell Academy's Keaton Icard and Wes Laing are state runner-up in boys doubles.

The GISA team tennis championships are Wednesday in Augusta.
