ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Day by day it seems gangs are leaving their mark in Albany neighborhoods.

Early Sunday morning vandals sprayed vehicles and a business, homeowners tell us the see no reason why they were targeted.

Cary Raulerson spent part of his Sunday afternoon cleaning gang graffiti.

"I'd rather spend my Sundays doing something else besides this," said Cary Raulerson, Victim.

During the night someone sprayed his pick up truck, a neighbor's car and nearby Dougherty County Farm Bureau Agency.

"There was a gentleman that rang my doorbell and woke me up out of a dead sleep and said for me to come check my truck," said Raulerson.

He came outside and found both sides of his vehicle, and a nearby Pontiac Grand Prix.

"Black paint everywhere, same as mine, it's already baked on the hood, same as mine," said Raulerson.

The Farm Bureau had graffiti around the entire building; they painted over it this morning.

Raulerson's wife did some spraying of her after they saw the truck.

"My wife came out and spray painted Jesus over it. I'd rather go around town with Jesus on my truck than the rattlers," said Raulerson.

Police already know about cases in other areas of the city.

Raulerson said he has faith this most recent incident will be the first and last on his property.

"it's not going to happen again if I can help it, I've got a right to protect my stuff and that's what I'm going to do that from now on, I'm going to protect my property, my family and my vehicles, whatever it takes," said Raulerson.

If you have information on who did this or observes any type of gang activity can report it to police by calling crime stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.
