ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A woman is recovering in the hospital after a wreck at a busy Albany intersection.

Traffic was backed up Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Nottingham Way and the off-ramp from Highway 19 North.

Police say the driver of a red Chevy pick-up, 73-year-old Glenn Walters, ran a red light and struck 63-year-old Zsabonna Brown's Honda Accord.

She then struck a Tahoe. That driver wasn't hurt. Walters was ticketed for running a red light.

Emergency crews had to rescue Brown from her vehicle and transported her to the hospital.
