Albany- Its turkey time again and shoppers are stocking up on food for holiday feasts.
While sweet potatoes, pies, and various veggies will be topping many tables, its the turkey that's the center of attention. So, you want to make sure you buy the best bird.
"Lots of people are working now and it takes 2 to 3 days to thaw out a frozen one so a lot of people are going for fresh ones," says Brunos Assistant Meat Manager Roy Eubanks.
Whether frozen, fresh, fried, or fricasseed Eubanks says seasoning is the key. While many are buying early, store managers say people will still wait until the last minute.
Don't want to bother of cooking your own meal? Brunos' pre-made meals can be ordered in advance and include turkey, dressing, side dishes, rolls, and dessert.
