THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Five people, three men and two women, are in jail for a frightening home invasion in Pelham.

Daljeet Singh was robbed at gunpoint in his home early Monday.

Police say 19-year-olds Stephanie Norman and Beulah Stewart knocked on Singh's door at Heritage Place apartments.

He recognized them as customers in his store so he let them in.

Police say minutes later 19-year-old Shamarious Kelly and 20-year-old Christopher Watkins burst in with a gun and robbed Singh even taking his passport and immigration papers.

They were all caught Wednesday night. The driver of a waiting car, 22-year-old Demitrus Christian, was also arrested.

"We have had this happen before, not often, but it has happened in the past where local business owners have been targeted and followed to their homes and become the victim of robberies or attempted robberies," said Inv. Rod Williams with the Pelham Police Department.

Singh didn't want to go on camera today but says he's thankful he's OK and the thieves were caught.

He's also relieved police recovered his immigration papers and passport.
