
That process starts this weekend when Darton hosts the Region XVII tournament at Stonebridge Country Club.
The Cavaliers have won seven straight region titles and are favorites to win an eighth.
Darton is feeling confident about their chances to win a fourth national title in five years after their win Goose Pond Spring Fling one month ago.
Darton beat many of the teams they will have to battle on the same course at the national tournmaent next month.
Coach Dale Dover says his team still is not playing up to their potential.
Coach Dover said. "Hopefully the goose pond win will give us some confidence in that we know we can be competitive. It concerns me that we have not played our best yet."
Sophomore Andy Lewis said. "I think we are about to all start clicking at the right time. If we do, it could be something good."
The Region XVII golf tournament runs through Sunday at Stonebridge Country Club.
