Albany -- It will begin to look "a lot more like Christmas" in Albany this weekend. Water Gas and Light workers will begin putting up Christmas decorations in Albany Saturday morning.
The Broad Avenue bridge downtown will be closed to traffic Saturday morning from 8:30 until 10 o-clock.
W.G.and L. spokesperson Lorie Farkas says the Christmas decorating process has been greatly improved in the last 12 years.
Farksas said "Prior to 1990 it took 6 weeks with several crews from the light department to get everything decorated in a festive mood for the holidays. In 1990 we went to a new system and it takes one crew a day, day and a half."
The city has two main styles of decoration, snowflakes, and the Wreath with Reindeer face.
