Sylvester, GA (WALB) - Gunshots were fired into Worth County Middle School Tuesday night.

Four to six rounds from a .22 Caliber shattered three window panes and pierced the metal frame at three different places.

A school employee found the damage at the front entrance Wednesday morning.

Surveillance video showed that the shots were fired sometime after 1:00AM.

Police officers have no suspect or motive for the shooting.  "Of course you always have to be concerned and be on your P's and Q's. But are we frightened by this? No it doesn't, but it does make us aware that this can happen anywhere," said Worth Middle School Patrol Officer Henry Duncan.

No one was at the school at the time. Anyone with any information about this case should call the Sylvester Police Department at 229-776-8501.
