ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit netted four arrests and thousands of dollars in drugs in a big bust. They hope it sends a message to other drug dealers.

Dedrick Jones, Jimmy Harrison, Dravian Jones and Gerald Styles were all arrested Friday night after investigators raided two homes in the 200 block of Barton Avenue.

Drug agents say they caught the men in the process of making crack cocaine with a street value of $15,000. Investigators also confiscated marijuana.

The drug unit started setting up surveillance about three weeks ago after complaints from the neighborhood. Captain Andy Exum hopes dealers get the message.

"That we're going to get them. We work all the time. That's our full-time job here to get these drug dealers off the street. Not only were these the drug dealers selling on the corners, these were also the manufacturers," said Exum.

The men are charged with trafficking and manufacturing cocaine along with other charges. Warrants were issued in conjunction with the Gang Task Force and the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office.
