Two men arrested in burglary spree

LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) -Two South Georgia men are suspected in a two-state burglary spree.  Lowndes County deputies arrested the men after receiving a tip from investigators in Suwannee County, Florida.

Right now, 33-year-old Tony Cristfalo and 21-year-old Michael Anthony Densmore are only charged with felony theft by taking.  Deputies recovered stolen electronics, guns, tools, and jewelry after searching their home on Vann Road.

Investigators expect to file more charges. They say the suspects may have been involved in home burglaries in five counties in South Georgia and North Florida.

"They saw no jurisdiction or lines," says Capt. Wanda Edwards of the Lowndes County Sheriffs Office.  "They were stealing in Echols County. There may have been some in Lowndes County, though we haven't gotten any notification yet from the calls we've received that that has cleared any of our burglaries. However, they are suspects in Hamilton, Columbia, and Suwannee County, Florida."

Lowndes County Sheriffs say good cooperation between law enforcement agencies made catching the two criminals possible.
