VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The body of a 55-year-old was male found just after 1:00 PM Friday at 109 Blanchard Street, off Highway 84 East in Lowndes County.

His next of kin has not been notified yet, so authorities aren't releasing his identity.  This man had been reported missing several days ago, and is homeless.

His body was found in a tent, and there no apparent signs of foul play, though police are investigating.

Sheriff Chris Prine said it appears he died in his sleep.  His shoes were outside the tent.

The condition of the body suggests he has been dead for "several days, at least."

The body was discovered by employees of Georgia Pipe Fitting Company.  They had not seen this man around, so they went to look for him where he usually camped out and discovered the body.
