ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
It didn't take long for Sylvester Patterson's Albany Tech basketball program to produce a division one product, infact it only took two years.
On the first day of the spring signing period Albany Tech's DeMarcus Blunt signed a scholarship with Grambling State University in Louisiana Wednesday.
Two years ago DeMarcus thought his days of playing basketball were over but when basketball arrived at Albany Tech two years ago the former Crisp County star saw a great opportunity and now the opportunity is paying dividends.
"It feels real good you know a lot of people think if you come to Albany Tech you can't go D1 so that point has been proven today just never give up and stay dedicated to what you want to do in life and things will work out" said Blunt.
DeMarcus averaged more than 11 points and 6 rebounds in the 2009 season with the Titans.
