Seminole County - A woman is shot while sleeping this morning. She is alive, but hospitalized.

Forty-four-year-old Veronica Gonzalez is the caretaker of an Alzheimer patient at this home on Stapleton Drive in Seminole County. Around two this morning a person went into her bedroom and shot her in the chest and face.

Gonzalez was taken to Flowers Hospital in Dothan and is in good condition. Her neighbor, Connie Tillman, says, "She's doing okay. The two shots are not critical."

Tillman says she didn't hear the gunshots. Sheriff Deputies have not confirmed if they have any suspects.
