ALBANY, GA (WALB) - People all over South Georgia celebrated Easter. And at one Albany church the story of Jesus Christ was brought to life. Members of Gillionville Baptist Church performed the Easter drama and musical "The Eyes of Faith."

They spent more than three months practicing for Sunday's performance. The Worship Leader says though this story is over two thousand years old, people can still find meaning in its message.

"I want them to know that he loves them. And that there is hope today for all of society through Jesus Christ. Even though these are difficult days, but there is always hope if you place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ," said Jeff Anders.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated on Easter. Easter Sunday also marks the end of Holy Week.
