ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Farmers Peanuts, on Hudson Street, just off U.S. 84 in Whigham, caught fire about 2:30 Friday afternoon.

Investigators think the fire started from a spark from a welder. The building is filled with 3,800 tons of peanuts, and it's a total loss.

Firefighters from several departments are there. They're ripping the walls off the warehouse and pulling the peanuts out so they can get to the areas that are smoldering.

A Sylvester peanut warehouse burned for weeks earlier this year.
