ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Baker County Fire Chief's car is missing.

Firefighters thought it was a joke but say it's no longer funny. The car disappeared April first, and they want it returned.

The white car with red stripes and fire emblem disappeared from its place next to the brush truck. The transmission had been replaced and an expensive portable defibrillator was in the trunk along with rain gear and firefighter jump suits.

A lookout was issued to authorities in Mitchell and Dougherty Counties. Anyone with information is asked to call the Baker County Fire Department or Sheriff's Office.
