ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County commission has declared next week Relay for Life Days.

The American Cancer Society raises more than $100 Million  for cancer research every year. Last year, the Relay for Life event in Albany raised $166,000. In addition to supporting the event through the proclamation, the county also has a team that has participated in relay for life since the event started up here 16 years ago.
