Newton, GA (WALB) - Parts of Newton remain under water as the Flint River begins to crest there.

Water has risen past police tape marking previous flood levels.

A few homes were already surrounded by the rising water.

Right now the Flint is just under 32 feet and is expected to remain there until Monday morning.
