ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Sherwood Christian Head Football Coach Ted "Rock" Knapp hasn't let terminal cancer slow him down one bit.
Coach Knapp is teaming up with the children's health care center in Atlanta to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.
Rock's Run will be held on Saturday April 25th beginning at 11 am at Sherwood Christian.
Rock is hoping to raise $250,000 from the fun run.
"It's hard to tell anybody with cancer no. So I think I'm going to use my cancer to try to do something to help with pediatric cancer research" said Knapp.
Coach Knapp says there is a long list of people on the guest list.
"We've got Lee Corso coming as a speaker, we've invited all the SEC coaches, the ACC coaches to come and walk the first lap with us. We've got TJ Mulden, a Christian contemporary band coming, we've got all kinds of eateries that are joining us as sponsors."
