Albany -- People who work in Emergency Medical Services from across Georgia are in Albany getting the latest training.
The 22nd Annual Trends in Medical Emergencies, or Time Conference, is being held at Darton College. EMS paramedics, emergency room nurses, and Physicians gathered to learn the latest medical procedures and breakthroughs.
Emergency care is improving, as medical science makes almost daily advancements. One of the TIME conference organizers, Kim Cribb, said "It changes everyday. Everyday something new is coming out. There are new ways to package the patients, to secure them on the spine boards. New medicines out. I mean, they need to have the latest technology, the latest in research so they can deliver good care to the patients."
160 emergency medical professionals attended the Time Conference.
