The Albany Humane Society is getting a makeover thanks to some help from a national humanitarian group and national dog food company.
By Jay Polk - bio | email LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) - People in Lee County will be watching the Kinchafoonee Creek very carefully Friday night.
Friday afternoon, the creek was about three feet above it's 13 foot flood stage. Water is in some yards and part of Creekside Drive is under water tonight.
One resident that we talked to said that the road was open Thursday evening and when they woke up Friday morning, a 200 foot stretch was covered with water.
The creek is expected to crest on Monday morning at 16.9 feet.
