AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - We've all probably dreamed about it. What would you do with a half million dollars?

One Ellaville man doesn't have to dream anymore.

48-year-old Arthur Strickland Jr. won the top prize in the Lottery's $500,000 Player's Club game.

He bought the ticket at Americus Package.

The mechanic turned farmer said he almost had a heart attack when his son scratched the ticket.

"We went out to the truck and gave it to him, and he scratched it and he said dad we won, and I said what did we win son, he said I don't know dad but there're a lot of zeros," Arthur Strickland, Lottery Winner.

Strickland deposited $344,000 in his bank Wednesday afternoon.

He'll continue to work and will use the money to pay off his house and truck and take a trip to Disney World.
