Talk about convenient!
How would you like to pay for your kids' school lunch or field trip or overdue library fine from your home computer?
Dougherty County parents will soon be able to do that through the school system's revamped website. Parents can access school calendars, lunch menues and board of education policies. There are also web sites for each school.
Last month...a year's worth of work on the site paid off for the system's web master... The site placed second in a statewide competition against other system sites.
The latest addition to the site is an alumni registry section for Dougherty County high schools. After being launched Monday...the registry already has 200 people listed.
The "e-store" where you can pay for your child's expenses will be added in a few weeks. To visit the updated school site... go to our website walb.com... and click on education.
