Southwest Health District officials are asking residents to prepare an "Emergency Go Kt" so they will have essentials ready should authorities begin evacuations from low-lying areas at risk of flooding.
Your 'Go Kit' should contain-
- Your family's important papers
- Any medications needed by family members
- Personal hygiene items
- Changes of clothing
- Diapers if you have small children
- Emergency contact information
- Tetanus shots need to be up-to-date
- Notify shelter officials if you have special medical needs
- Most shelters will not take pets. Make arrangements for boarding pets with friends or Vets
