Albany-- A local Red Cross Volunteer is called up to assist with disaster relief in North Georgia.

Pickens County sustained the most serious damage when storms blew through north Georgia early Monday morning.

This mission to there is Bill Hamby's 59th trip on behalf of the Red Cross, where he will work as a Logistics Officer. "In this case, as a logistics person, when we set up to do disaster services, I'm the person everyone sees when they want or need something," Hamby said.

Hamby expects to stay in Pickens County at least two weeks.
