Leesburg- The national Weather service issued a flood warning for the creek earlier this afternoon, but that warning has been canceled.

Still, emergency personnel say residents should be aware of the higher water levels.

Lee County Fire Cheif Joe Pollack says that residents should not only watch levels, but they should also watch and listen to the news for flood updates.  He says as soon as he gets the warning he notifies the media.

The creek has flooded in the past, and in Leesburg, the flood stage is 10 feet.
