ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Westover High students are coming to the help of one of their own.

Westover wrestler Brandon Scott qualified for the U.S. Nationals in Virginia Beach, Virginia  next week after finishing second in the state.

The tournament will be attended by a number of college coaches and could lead to a scholarship for Brandon.

The cost of the trip is estimated to be 1500 dollars.

So far Brandon has raised about a third of that.

When Westover senior Keontoria Morris heard that Brandon may not go, she and her friends have started to help raise money but they only have two days to reach their goal.

Keontoria Morris said. "If every student gave a dollar, we would have way over for him to go because there almost 1400, 1500 students at this school."

Brandon Scott said. "The coaches will see you have potential and they can teach you new stuff."

Anyone wanting to make a donation can contact Westover High wrestling booster club president Polly Stadnak.
