ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It's the second armed robbery in that area in a matter of days. Officers were called to Tate Liquors on Sylvester Road just before 2:30. Two suspects, one with a gun, forced a clerk to empty two cash registers inside the store.

On Friday night, the Spee-Go store right around the corner on Johnson Road was also robbed at gunpoint.

"That is something they will have to look into to determine if there is some sort of a connection. There are some similarities like how they came into the store separately so I'm sure that's one avenue they'll look into," said APD Media Manager Phyllis Banks-Whitley.

The suspects are two black males. One is light-skinned between 5-6 and 5-7 with baby blue shorts and a white tank top.

The other is about 5-11 and was wearing all black clothing including a black bandanna.

They fled on foot but witnesses say they saw them later jump into a black Ford Expedition.

If you have information, call APD.
