(San Diego-AP) -- Kerenski McGhee ran for 160 yards, Kawaskee Teemer scored two touchdowns and Albany State forced six turnovers in a 22-8 win over Morehouse today.
Albany State (6-4, 5-2 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) scored two late touchdowns on short runs by Teemer to break open a tight game. Three of the Golden Rams' scores came following Morehouse turnovers, including a 25-yard field goal by Adrian Arango late in the third quarter that put Albany State ahead for good, 9-8.
Morehouse (6-4, 4-3 SIAC) struggled on offense, gaining only 273 yards. Nathaniel Zackery score the Tigers' only touchdown on a 7-yard run in the third quarter. McGhee rushed 22 times and scored on a 27-yard run in the first quarter, one play after Trey Barnes recovered a muffed punt by Morehouse's Santino Hall.
After taking over on downs at the Morehouse 5-yard line, Teemer scored on the next play for a 15-8 lead with 1:50 left. He added a 1-yard touchdown with 48 seconds left. Teemer finished with 96 yards on 19 carries.
